Practices begin this weekend

Thank you to all of you who have signed up for volleyball and soccer. I am very excited about this upcoming year and you should be too. We are going to start practices this weekend. The first soccer games are going to be played one week from tomorrow so there is no time to waste. Volleyball starts in two weeks. Practice times are listed to the left of this post. For those of you who are new, please wear something comfortable, NO JEANS, and bring a bottle water or sports drink. NO SODA. See you all this weekend.

Welcome back everybody!

It was great seeing all the students today in the classrooms and I look forward to another year.

If you are playing soccer or volleyball, and that should be all of you, please send back the forms as soon as possible, even tomorrow if possible, and we can get the seasons going.

We need as many players in every grade so I hope everybody is playing.

Big Race on Sunday

This weekend, a huge race is taking place in the Bay Area from Sonoma as the IndyCar Series is in town. The local kid, J.R. Hildebrand will be racing in front of his friends and family.

You probably never heard of him, but I got to interview him twice last year, once leading up to the race and once after the race, a genuinely nice guy that you can't help but root for.

Auto racing is a sport very foreign to most of you but I have taken a liking to it over the last year or so, maybe because I was lucky enough to go watch the race from Hildebrand's pit last year.

So take a look at the feature we did on him after the race.
