If the 8th grade girls want to cap off their basketball careers with a championship, they'll need to go through the team they lost to Saturday afternoon.
The girls held a brief 4-2 lead late in the 1st quarter, but couldn't keep up with the more physical and quicker opponent, as they lost their first game of the season 31-18.
They trailed by only five points at halftime and were very much in the game. But they were unable to maintain any type of rhythm on both ends of the court.
