8th grade make a lot of catches in latest game

Despite another loss, the 8th grade baseball team played a pretty good game in the field, catching numerous pop flies throughout Saturday's game.

In the 11-1 loss, Joseph caught three alone at shortstop, while Alex and Jackie both snagged one in the outfield.

Ryan, who started and pitched three innings made two catches for outs, including one in the first inning where he had to dive to the grass to catch a ball.

It was only 2-0 after the first, but several errors in the second inning opened up the game.

Raymond scored the only run for the 8th graders in the top of the fourth when he crossed home following a pop-up by Audi that wasn't caught by the other team.

As for the 6th/7th graders, they forfeited for the third straight time, because two players were missing.
