6th grade wins big

The 6th grade girls put together a complete game, doing it on the offensive and defensive end. For their effort, they won 24-9, a game they dominated from start to finish.

This win was the definition of a team effort as each of the 5 girls that were there today scored. They were aggressive on defense, getting steals and creating numerous fast break opportunities.

Beverlyn led the scoring with her new career-high of 14 points, including a beautiful NBA style drop step that led to a bucket late in the 4th quarter.

With the victory, their confidence should be at an all-time high. The girls are (3-2) on the season.

7th grade

The 7th grade might've looked past their opponent today. Having beaten them in all of the previous three meetings, this looked like an easy win. But a 4th quarter dominated by the opponent where they outscored the 7th grade 15-3.

The final score was 23-17.

After leading by 6 at the end of three quarters, everything just went south. Their defense completely collapsed and their shots that went in during the 3rd quarter were no longer falling.

With the loss, the girls are back at .500 with a record of (2-2).
