7th grade's big first gives them playoff berth

Pablo and Jason combined to give the 7th grade an early 10-0 lead after the first quarter. From then on, they didn't look back on their way to a 25-18 victory, to clinch the team's first ever playoff berth.

At (6-2), they will take the third seed in their division and will face the No. 2 team on the road in their home gym.

Jason had a nice bounce back game after a disastrous showing a week ago, as he had a strong putback in the first quarter, as well as a nice mid-range jump shot.

Pablo swarmed the entire court and had a game high 12 points.

It's going to be a tough task for the 7th graders as they will play one of the team's that beat them in the regular season. It will all need to come together if they want to make a championship run. They'll need to do a better job of making their easy shots as well as moving their feet on defense.

Working against them is having 10 players on the team, so that means less playing time for some of their elite players. That means everybody on the team needs to step up.

The turnovers and sloppy play are things that teams can get away with in the regular season, but not in the playoffs.

In the fourth, Julio made a nice pass on a fast break to Hartman, who banked in his only 2 points of the game.

4th grade forfeits
Due to a miscommunication, the 4th grade had only 4 players at game time and had to forfeit their final game of the year. Luckily, this game had no meaning in the standings as the 4th graders will end the year with a (6-2) record and play the No. 3 seed in their division.

The 4th grade, who will hold the No. 2 seed, won their scrimmage, with Ethan scoring his first points of the year.
