5th/6th Grade Baseball falls in second game

The 5th/6th grade baseball team couldn't overcome a bad first inning in the field and lost their second game of the year by a final score of 17-5.

Brandon started for the second consecutive game and pitched two innings, while Justin finished the final three.

Offensively, they were able to draw walks and advance on some wild pitches for their five runs. Hunter and Joseph had the only base hits for the team.

Right now, there's a lot of getting used to by the team, as they are still very unfamiliar with the basic concepts and rules of baseball. Little things like knowing when to run, and when to stop, still need ironing out.

However, in the fourth inning, they were able to put together defensively a 1-2-3 inning, a first for the team. Justin recorded two strikeouts and fielded a comeback to record the second out of the inning.

It's a quick turnaround for the team as they will once again play Tuesday afternoon, their third game in less than a week.
