The great Tiffy was once quoted after a game saying, "It was a good lose." Had she watched Friday night's 8th grade preseason CYO tournament game, she would've said, "It was a bad won (win)."
Perhaps they were a little too amped up going against their former soccer teammates at NDV. But nonetheless the 8th graders hung on to win an ugly slopfest 24-20, which saw NDV hit a three at the end of the game to make the score a little closer.
Their next game will be Saturday night at 6 p.m.
