Dwight Howard and my thoughts

Disclaimer: I am not a huge NBA fan.

But I wanted Dwight Howard.

Yes, he has been a diva, and one of those typical selfish NBA players the last few years, but I choose and would've chosen to overlook that had he come to your Golden State Warriors.

However, DH12 has decided to take his talents to Houston and join the Rockets so we'll never know how he would've panned out here.

With that being said, a lot of Warriors fans didn't want Howard, because we would most likely have to lose Harrison Barnes or Klay Thompson. To that, I say, we should've lost them,

At his best, Howard is the best center in the NBA and even when he isn't at his best, he's a top 3 center. Centers are not easy to find in the league. 2 and 3 guards are plentiful.

We all thought losing Monta Ellis was the end of the world, but does anybody even care about that anymore? Not really.

Howard will always make a bigger stamp on the court than Barnes or Thompson, and that is why, if push came to shove, the Warriors should've made that deal.

One thing I don't really understand is why Howard wants to go to the Rockets over the Warriors simply because of James Harden. Harden is similar to Kobe Bryant in the sense he needs to shoot the ball a lot, and relies so much in an isolation 1-on-1 type offense. The Warriors spread the ball around which would've fit Dwight's game a lot better than Houston.

Of course, I could be saying that just cause I wanted to see Dwight in a Golden State uniform.

Well...at least we got Andre Iguodala.
