Allen got the start for the 5th grade baseball team and struck out 7 batters in 2.1 innings of work.
Unfortunately, the pitching after Allen didn't hold up and the boys lost 8-2 in their first career baseball game.
They took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a pair of bases loaded walks.
Conversely, an 8 run bottom of the third where six runs were walked in did in the 5th graders.
The game lasted three and a half innings.
