3rd graders suffer another loss

In a rematch against a team that walloped them in their first meeting, the 3rd graders trimmed the margin, but still lost 12-2, their sixth straight defeat on the season.

It was 10-0 when Sofia finally broke through midway through the 4th quarter with a bank shot from right out in front of the basket.

At halftime, the 3rd graders only trailed 6-0,  but their problem tonight as it has been all season long has been getting the ball in the hoop. You could say that's the problem with probably any basketball team that loses a game, but the 3rd graders simply can't find ways to score.

Problem is a lot of the girls are afraid to shoot the ball, as they are very content with staying on the perimeter.

If shots were tracked, the 3rd graders were probably outshot by close to a 4:1 margin.

When a team shoots the ball more, that team usually has a chance to score more, and the 3rd graders so far have yet to score more than the other team.

The game was played at NDV.
