8th graders fall to below .500

The 8th grade lost 28-13, their second straight loss, which drops them below .500 on the season.

According to their coach Elliot, the score did not indicate how the 8th graders play. They did come out flat, but overall played a much better game than their previous two.

However, being outscored 14-1 to start the game pretty much sealed their fate.

Defensively, they were atrocious early on, with players on the other team getting open too easily and sneaking behind the 8th graders.

"Our (1st quarter) defense was unacceptable," Elliot said.

Their opponent was the number one team in the division, so there was a little bit of an intimidation factor going into the game. But they need to find a way to score some points. Scoring in the teens, let alone the low teens, is not going to get the job done.

Raymond has now struggled for two games straight and was held scoreless in the game.

Jason Ng led the team with 10 points, and even he had trouble hitting shots.

They are now (2-3).
