7th/8th grade drops fifth straight, playoff chances done

There will be no repeat for the championship for some of the 8th graders on the 7th/8th grade team.

For the fifth straight game, the boys were on the losing end, this time, a 30-20 score Friday night.

Inconsistencies and too much inexperience has been too much to overcome as of late. Of the eight players on the team, half are playing in their first year and the awareness just is not there.

With the players going to three different schools, the team chemistry and cohesiveness has been hard to come by.

Also, late arriving players have been an issue. With two players coming in at the end of the first quarter, the team was charged with a technical foul.

They play their final game of the season next Friday.
