| 7th/8th grade girls take first place in the CYO tournament |
It's the program's first CYO tournament championship in any sport.
For the third straight game, Fiona was strong on her serves in the first set and got the girls some distance. Edwena continued her strong play and had several kills throughout the match.
The second set was a lot closer and went to tie-breaker points with the St. Mary's girls eventually prevailing.
In three games so far, the girls have yet to lose one set.
If the tournament is a sign of things to come, it's going to be a very exciting and perhaps historic season.
