Friday night lights

The 8th grade won the first girls basketball game of the season in convincing fashion, 30-16 in round two of the CYO preseason tournament. The girls started slow once again, but scored 4 points in the final minute of the first quarter to give them a 8-3 lead. They led 12-3 at the half and didn't look back.

The margin of victory was the most for the girls in two years. They will look to build on that in the Consolation Championship tomorrow morning.

7th Grade much better, but fall short

After falling behind 11-0, the 7th grade girls scored the next 7 points, but the hole was too deep to dig out of, as they lost their second tournament game 11-7. It was a much better effort from the girls and they showed signs of potentially become a solid team.
