Marissa serves her team to victory

Marissa started off the CYO Achievement Game where she left off in the regular season, and served her team out to an early lead in the first set, which ended 25-6. It was a surprise that a game of some of the best 8th graders in volleyball would be so lopsided.

Her serving clearly gave her team the momentum early on and it carried on through the entire first set.

After suffering a slight setback in the second set, Marissa stepped up to serve in the third set and again, gave her team a 5-0 lead to start off the first to 15 decisive set.

Not only did Marissa serve really well, but she made several plays at the net, with tips, including a play that resulted in the team's 14th point.
