Miles has an assist, but Justin wins the game

The Justin vs Miles showdown went to the longer tenured player, as Justin's team beat Miles' team 2-1. All goals came in the first half.

Just a few minutes into the game, Justin's team got on the scoreboard when one of his teammates sent a beautiful cross into the box, which was headed in the for the first goal of the game.

Later in the first, Miles put his head on a ball and directed toward his teammate, setting up his team's only goal of the game. Miles got the primary assist on the play.

The game winning goal came on the exact same play as the first goal of the game, another beautiful cross that found its way to someone's head. Then the ball found the back of the net for final goal of the game.

Justin had a good opportunity to score late in the game, but a defender bumped him off the ball and the scoring chance never transpired.

Gavin C. enjoying some epic soccer action.
In a side game, Gavin C. counted the amount of touches both players had during the game and Miles edged out Justin by one touch, 21-20. Both of them played the game as forwards and mid-fielders.

Jeremy also showed up to support his teammates.

Both St. Mary's players got to play three full quarters, a contrast from last year when Elliot Wong and Derek Kwong only got to play approximately a half. There were a lot less players on the field this year than last year. Rain was in the forecast, which may have sent some players away, but the sun was out for most of the contest.

This year's game also wasn't as intense as the 2009 game, even though today's match actually featured scoring. Last year's contest played to a 0-0 draw.
