5th Grade Championship Preview

It all comes down to tomorrow night when the 5th grade plays in their first championship game against Salesian.

The first time these two teams met, the 5th graders lost 14-11 in a game where according to their coaches, nobody except Raymond was engaged.

That definitely cannot happen again.

Yes, Raymond has been the standout player for the last few years in terms of scoring points, but this year it isn't Raymond carrying the team with his scoring. He is doing it with passing.

Look at the numerous highlights for the 5tn graders and often you will see Raymond finding the open man, setting up the basket.

If this trend can continue tomorrow night, it bodes well for the 5th grade.

Another key to their game will be their offense, as they need to hit shots. Defensively, they are pretty solid and have a really good knack for the ball. The twins have added some toughness and grit to this team, as they have held their opponents in the mid-teens for scoring for pretty much the entire season.

The main key to victory will be the offense and if they can get hot at the right time. They have numerous shooters on this team that can strike and if tomorrow night is their night, we will have a championship to talk about.

If they are able to score 20 points, it'll be a big party afterwards.

The stage is set for the 5th grade to shine.
