7th grade comes up with a big win

The 7th grade bounced back in a big way Friday night and handed the second place team in the division a 31-20 loss on their home floor.

With a lot better execution and focus than their previous game Sunday at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, home to the great Gregory Huie, the 7th grade came ready to play and held a 14-8 lead at halftime.

Thomas had one of his best games all year and had 5 points, including a beautiful coast to coast lay-up done the right way.

Garrick, although he didn't score, was aggressive and quick to the ball down in the post, as he among the other post players, The Twins and Ryan all had a strong effort.

Ryan even hit his second three ball of the season.

Jason Ng continues to contribute on a regular basis as he had 8 points and Raymond had his proverbial game high. He had 14 points.

It was a good mental test for the boys as well because the other team on numerous occasions tried to do their best Vlade Divac impression by flopping. But none of that rattled the 7th graders as they had one of their most impressive wins of the season.

At (4-2), they are now in a very good spot to guarantee their third straight post-season appearance and can even get a high seed if they can perform at a high level in their final two games of the season.

Raymond also added two 3 pointers, the first two he has made all season.
