8th grade assures themselves of a below .500 record

The 8th grade boys came into their CYO careers winning only three games in 3rd grade. They'll be lucky if they can reach that total in their final year.

Marred with injuries, among a plethora of other issues, the 8th graders lost again Friday night, this time by a final of 39-22 to another winless team, and assured themselves a sub-500 record.

If they can win their final three games, they can finish with a somewhat respectable (3-5) mark, but even that seems far fetched considering the problems they have gone through this season.

Playing without the injured Brandon Khuu and Brendan, the team had only five players, as Christian played again without practice.

There is absolutely no team chemistry as this current crop of five has yet to practice as a full team and it clearly shows and hurts them on the court.

It is a very tough way to end a career at St. Mary's, but they'll have at least three games, including a game tomorrow to pick up at least one win to make their efforts look respectable.
