The 7th/8th grade were better with their lay-ups as the game progressed but in the end, their missed chances by the basket proved to be their undoing in a 29-21 loss.
It was a rather impressive display for the most part after falling behind double digits in the first half. They were able to lock down on defense for pretty much the entire second half.
At one point in the 4th quarter, the deficit was only five points, but the girls could get no closer.
Their record in league play is (2-2).
