The NHL Winter Classic, played on New Year's Day, is now in its third year, where an NHL hockey game is played outdoors.
This year's game pits rivals Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Crosby and Ovechkin are the biggest stars in hockey today and HBO is documenting these two teams in a fantastic four part series called 24/7 - The Road to the Winter Classic.
Two episodes have aired and most people don't have HBO, and even if you do, I doubt you would watch this.
BUT...thankfully the first episode is online and if there is enough interest, I will post the other episodes as the weeks continue.
In the next few days, I am sure you will have an hour of spare time and you will earn brownie points and special recognition if you watch this documentary. It is fantastic, and you don't have to be a hockey fan to enjoy it.
The first episode already takes you behind the scenes, into the locker rooms, for the coach's pep talk before the game, what players do on their days off, practices, training, everything a professional sports team goes through.
On one end, one team is flying high and the other team is struggling. MUST WATCH COMPELLING EPICNESS.
WARNING: There is some rough language, so I suggest you watch this with your parent or guardian. So click below, and watch it, you will not be disappointed. Hopefully your computer can handle the one hour of streaming. If not, hit pause, let it load for a bit, and then watch.
And if your computer has restrictions...remove them temporarily to watch.
