A tired looking 6th grade takes first loss

By 6th grade beat writer Emily

Again, the 6th grade boys buried themselves in an early hole. But this time, there was no incredible fourth quarter to dig them out of it.

From the get go, it seemed like the team had no energy, and the scoreboard reflected the play.

They trailed 7-2 at halftime and let the game slip away in the third. There is always something about the third quarter. In their last game, the 6th graders fell behind by 8 and in tonight’s game, they trailed by as much as 11.

The 6th grade boys managed to put up ten points in the fourth, but it was too little too late.

Turnovers, once again, was a major problem in tonight’s game. They had some nice steals, but they would just turn the ball right back over to the other team. Another glaring problem was their inability to box-out and rebound.

Their record is now (1-1).
