7th/8th grade dominant in latest win

The score may have been a little one sided, but the 7th/8th grade's second win of the season required a lot of execution.

In Saturday's 25-13, 25-10 victory, the girls played with confidence and scored their points as the aggressor and not simply racking up the score on the other team's mistakes. They were even down early in the first set until Victoria came up and served the girls out to a nice and comfortable lead, hitting the 10 serve limit for the first time in her volleyball career.

As a whole, the girls played with a lot more confidence and communicated better than they had before.

With several games under their belt, they are showing signs of really coming together as a team. There were also several long rallies in this game, and the girls prevailed on most of those points.

With the win, they improve to (2-1) on the season.

Next Saturday, they will become the first St. Mary's volleyball team to participate in an all-day volleyball tournament.
