Saturday Recap, 8th grade wins big, tough losses for the rest

BASEBALL CAN'T HOLD LEAD
The baseball team jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st inning, thanks to a bases clearing double by Kevin. However, errors were costly, as they could not preserve the lead. They ended up losing 16-6.

Not a great game, but not a bad one either for the team. They now sit at (2-5).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The 8th grade put together a beautiful complete game and won easily, 37-16 -- by far their most impressive performance of the season. It was a total team effort, as the 9 girls played strong defense, hit their free-throws and lay-ups, and made smart decisions all the way around. They are now (6-1) on the season.

The 6th grade dropped a heartbreaker giving up a basket in the final seconds of the game. They lose 12-11 in Half Moon Bay and are now (4-3) on the year.

The 3rd/4th graders lost, but Ivy got on the scoreboard for the first time as she scored her first two points ever. Isabella also scored for the 3rd/4th graders.

The 7th grade girls suffered another close loss, this time a 21-17 decision against the top team in the division. They are now (3-4) and will need to win their last game to make the playoffs.
