Results from Day 2 of the CYO Preseason Tournament.
We'll start with the lone team to win a game, the 6th graders, as they began their title defense with a 21-10 win.
The 7th graders held a six point lead in the 4th quarter, but turned the ball over at will as the other team went on a 9-0 run to close out the game. The final score was 25-22.
Fiona had a chance to give the girls a lead from the free throw line with less than 30 seconds to go, but was unable to convert.
As for the 8th grade, they were pretty rugged in a 21-9 loss, and trailed 10-1 at halftime. With half the team pretty much new, it took some time for the girls to get used to play in a game. They did do better in the second half.
