8th grade wins opener, Saturday preview

The 8th grade girls won their first game of the regular season, 37-27, earlier tonight. They got out to an incredible start, scoring 15 points in the first quarter.

Leading by 12 at half-time, they eased up a little bit and the other team came roaring back and cut the deficit to 2 at the end of three.

But a strong 4th quarter, featuring good defense, and clutch shots, propelled the 8th grade to a 10 point victory in the season opener.

They play again tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
