DeMarillac 8th graders fall short in come back

After a (5-0) start to the regular season, the DeMarillac 8th graders looked like they were serious title contenders.

But after their third straight loss tonight, they'll backpedal into the playoffs on a three game losing streak.

They fell behind and were 29-18 in the fourth quarter, but made an incredible comeback only to fall short 34-32.

Pablo had a game high 16 points in the loss.

Julio was not 100% and played with a noticeable limp in the second half and still managed to score 8 points.

What comes next for the boys is not going to be easy. With the loss, they finish the season with a (5-3) record and will have to play the undefeated first place team in their home gym.
