Sofia scores in 3rd grade's first game

The 3rd grade girls played their first regular season game of the year at NDV Friday night, but lost.

They had a chance early in the game to put up some points, but they could not hit a shot. In the first half, they put up more shots than their opponent but the scoreboard read 12-0 after two.

It wasn't until the 4th quarter when Sofia made the only shot in the game for the 3rd graders.

The girls were a little out of sort, and looked very nervous in their first regular season game. A lot of the girls were afraid to be aggressive and shoot the ball, and when you don't shoot, you don't score.

So the youngest girls in the school will have to chalk this up as a learning experience, and have a better showing in their second game next week.
