8th grade ekes out win

The 8th grade avoided an upset Friday night and pulled out a 13-11 game in which they probably didn't deserve to win.

Cynthia had a game high 8 points, but shot a donut from the free throw line going 0-for-8.

As a whole, the team played pretty solid defense, but offensively could not make a bucket to save their lives. Countless layups and putbacks were all off and that resulted in a close game that could've and should've been a little more lopsided.

It's a quick turnaround for the girls as they conclude their regular season Saturday afternoon.

At (6-1), they are a lock for the playoffs, and now are playing for the number one seed.

If they win their final game, and the other one loss team loses a game before the season's end, the 8th grade can lock up number one.
