8th grade finishes regular season with a win

Cynthia scored 14 points as the 8th grade girls finished an impressive (7-1) season with a 27-2 romp Saturday afternoon.

Playing against a team they clobbered in the tournament, the girls didn't waste any time and put the game away early, leading 8-2 after one.

They continued to tack on, so much that they rested Cynthia in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.

For a team that hardly practices as a team, they will somehow finish the regular season in either the top spot or second spot in the division.

Not jumping too far ahead of ourselves, but barring a collapse, they will meet St. Thomas More in the championship.

The girls looked a lot better than they did Friday night and converted on more layups than they did the day before.

Ball movement in the half court set was probably the best its been the entire year.

One things the girls need to work on is their footwork. They hardly have strong pivots and a lot of them still do not jump. Having good footwork will be essential for their playoff run.
