The 4th and 5th grade girls, victorious today for the first time, after winning in straight sets 25-15 and 25-23.
What an amazing story these girls are, as they have been playing for less than two months, and have had to deal with injuries and playing up a grade for the most part. More than half this team is in 4th grade playing in a 5th grade league.
They played so well their last game, everyone had a feeling that they were this close to pulling off a victory. The thing that makes this better is that they have constantly improved and weren't satisfied with being close to winning -- they wanted the actual win.
After losing just barely, 26-24 and 25-20 last week, they finished it off this week and are in the win column for the first time in history.
